Spending you wad online

Hi everyone,

I just thought I share with my fellow Hong Kongers something I found on the internet that can be quite useful. I’m originally from the U.S. and miss many things back home. It is quite frustrating when you find something you want on the internet but cannot get it because they don’t ship to Hong Kong.

Well, I have finally found a site that let’s you do just that and not only do they let you purchase things from the states, they actually give you a U.S. address so that the product is sent to that U.S. address and directly reroute the product to you in Hong Kong. I was browsing through some site called lifestyle.hk and found an ad called onenow.com now I don’t have to bother my friends and family back home to buy me things that I can’t get in HK.

I think is pretty cool that this exist, and to think, the whole 3 years I’ve been in HK and have not found this site. I think your family and friends back home will really appreciate this site as well, now they don’t have to bother with your annoying wants.

One time I forgot about the time difference between HK and U.S and boy were they mad when I woke them up at 4 in the morning, lol.

Well the down side of this is that not all merchants are signed on to this site (apple)

Damn.

Anyways it’s still pretty useful so it’s cool

One note I must make though, they have 2 different ways of charging you one is called Payforme and the other is called deliverforme I suggest the deliver for method so you don’t have to pay so much and look for merchants that ship free in the U.S.

Trust me, you’ll save more and avoid paying for additional “unnecessary” charges.

Police brutality

As I was browsing the net for latest story on earthquakes in L.A. I happen to come across a story that is just totally wrong and unjustifiable. It is the latest news on police brutality in New York.

No matter how wrong the justice department are, they are always right in their own eyes, Does anyone ever think why this is happening in places with high crime rate? Well after reviewing the video I attached you’ll know.

The police in urban and high crime areas just don’t have respect for anyone. One of the core reason why crime is so high. duh! Let’s reflect back to the 90’s when there was alot of different racial riots and riots against the police. This would of never happen if the law enforcement were disciplined and make right with the victim.

These types of events are very sensitive especially to the race it happens to. I myself for one have witness racial discrimination and been harrassed by the so call, “law enforcement officer” being accused and stopped for no apparent reason, racial profiled and attempted intimidation is what i have been a victim of.

1 helluva party

It’s Saturday June 14th and I’m now getting ready for my buddy pitars’ b-day
the keg is filled and the food is prepared all I need to do now is get the present.
I initially thought about getting an I touch for him but due to lack of budget reserve
I had to settle for something else. The buying part was easy but looking for the best price was
troublesome. All I ask for is a bit of a discount but damn are they stingy. We are talking about HK afterall and a discount is expected since is not a large dept store.
anyways I finally got 10%off so I guess that was pretty great considering all the bargaining time it took. I finally arrived at the party and it was all good except I started drinking just a bit earlier then most. But it was real fun and good atmosphere, good music but I must say the food was not all that great. I kinda had to leave a bit earlier then most since I have a friend that just had a baby and I top him that I would go visit. The bad part was he had something else planned the very next day so I ended up not going and l

June 9th 2008 The best Starbucks in HK

Well today, I have visited one of the best Starbucks in HK

Avenue of Stars
Avenue of Stars, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Kowloon

This Starbucks has a rooftop where patrons get to relax on some comfortable chairs and look at the ocean facing the HONG KONG Island. Though it might be pretty warm with the sun beaming but the best time to go is when the sun is setting, therefore you get to see all the lights from the building in Hong Kong.

great site and view for all visitors. Starbucks don’t have the best coffee in the world but they sure have a great interior design and positioning that captures the beautiful view of HK.

one thing to note is that you sure do have to beware of the mosquito’s. Got hit a couple of time :<

Hi Everyone,

This is the start of my first blog on word press and I hope you all blog readers like what you read.

Date: June 8th 2008

Time: 2:30 in the morning and since I’m blogging at this hour it probably means no drinking for me Tonite.

Well, There’s this one thing I would really like to share with you all and just to throw it in the air. I don’t know if anyone has this frustrating problem.

firstly, I’m super attached to my laptop, (I’m using a sony vaio btw) it feels almost uncomfortable when I’m with out it when I’m going out. I just feels like i need to be holding my laptop case with the weight of the computer inside.

Is it just me or do any of you feel the same way as well? Strange huh!

Second I would always have great things that I would think about searching for on the net but once I get the computer on and get going I tend to forget what I wanted to search for and end up surfing the web and just totally lose concentration of what I initially turned the computer on to look for in the first place. eventually I’ll remember it but the time lapse before I remember feels like a big waste of time. Anyways, I’ll get over it, just wonder if this happens to all of you out there in the net or just a majority of you.

i’m currently planning for a friends b-day party and not quite sure what we should do. The original plan is set just need to put in the finishing touches like collecting all the $$$$ and buying the present.

Anyways since this is kind of my introduction blog. I’ll just keep it short and brief.
