Spending you wad online

Hi everyone,

I just thought I share with my fellow Hong Kongers something I found on the internet that can be quite useful. I’m originally from the U.S. and miss many things back home. It is quite frustrating when you find something you want on the internet but cannot get it because they don’t ship to Hong Kong.

Well, I have finally found a site that let’s you do just that and not only do they let you purchase things from the states, they actually give you a U.S. address so that the product is sent to that U.S. address and directly reroute the product to you in Hong Kong. I was browsing through some site called lifestyle.hk and found an ad called onenow.com now I don’t have to bother my friends and family back home to buy me things that I can’t get in HK.

I think is pretty cool that this exist, and to think, the whole 3 years I’ve been in HK and have not found this site. I think your family and friends back home will really appreciate this site as well, now they don’t have to bother with your annoying wants.

One time I forgot about the time difference between HK and U.S and boy were they mad when I woke them up at 4 in the morning, lol.

Well the down side of this is that not all merchants are signed on to this site (apple)

Damn.

Anyways it’s still pretty useful so it’s cool

It's all you need to buy shit from the states

One note I must make though, they have 2 different ways of charging you one is called Payforme and the other is called deliverforme I suggest the deliver for method so you don’t have to pay so much and look for merchants that ship free in the U.S.

Trust me, you’ll save more and avoid paying for additional “unnecessary” charges.

Chivas studio event

Just went to an event this past weekend on Friday night. It is by far one of the best event I’ve been to this year. The venue of this event is located at the Hong Kong Ferry Pier “watermark” The theme of this event like the heading of this blog “Chivas Studio” It was free flow of Chivas mixed drinks, which I really enjoyed, great music by HK Canto Pop star (Justin Lo) and one of NY finest DJ Ge-ology.

The event suppose to start at 8PM but the life of the party started at around 10:30. The art and the interior design of the place is such a pleasant sight to see. So I’ve actually found a site that had covered the event and it recapped the beautiful people at this event. Just thought I share this with you.

I’ll definitely be looking forward to next years event.

blogging hero

Since I’m still new to this whole Blog thing, I just thought to myself, Why don’t I get a good read and learn more about it. So I went to one of these book shops that specialize in IT related books, so I wasn’t really in there just looking for books about blogs since I don’t notice too many of those being publish.

I then took a look on the shelf of the book store and noticed a book that look something like the digitial patterns on Matrix. once I took a closer look it is a book called the ” Blogging Hero”

This is a book with interviews on 30 top bloggers found around the bloggosphere. I Just started on the book so i couldn’t comment much about it, but so far, i’m enjoying the read.

About Online Ads

I don’t know if you all have noticed, but I have been noticing alot of new advertisers online especially in asia.

Asia is definitely urging more and more people to go online. Since I live in asia (Hong Kong) there are alot of ooh ads that inform the public that the government is implementing more and more wifi spots where people can go online in more then your typical starbucks, usually the locations of these ads are located on posterboards in the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) I think this makes alot of sense. The HK public just don’t know how helpful online is to their busy daily schedule. Can you imagine rushing off to a meeting and not remembering where the address is. Now if you had connection to the internet you can search for the office location. What about online services, don’t you just hate being on hold when booking or making a reservation to some resort or airline tickets. The convenient of the internet allows us to skip all the waiting and get to the point. After all if we didn’t go online as often how would we watch youtube and learn how to jail break the iphone/itouch hee hee hee. online ads are the perfect place to expose your product or services because believe it or not this is the gateway to the world and there is just too much people on line to miss out on this type of exposure.

If you agree or have comments about my views I would like to hear it.
